Turn your Diecimila into an AVR Writer

There is a patch for Avrdude to allow for direct manipulation of the data pins of the FDTI chip (so called bitbang) on the diecimila pcb. This way it can be used to flash e.g. the bootloader to new atmega8/168 chips just using the diecimila board. Find below some useful links.
